Caroline Mitchell is a bestselling author whose thrillers have captivated millions of readers around the globe. Born in County Offaly, Ireland, Caroline’s path to publishing wasn’t typical — she moved to the UK, raised four children and joined Essex Police. A former police detective, she has worked in CID and specialised in roles dealing with vulnerable victims, high-risk victims of domestic abuse, and serious sexual offences. 

Having swapped case files for fiction, she now lives just outside Lincoln. Her books have been shortlisted for several book awards, including the 2022 Audie Awards alongside Stephen King.
